Laundry Soap
This formula will make laundry soap for 28 loads. Once made,
the soap will last years if kept in a cool dark location. You will
notice this soap has a very dry flaky consistency, this makes it easy
to grate. This soap formula is strong enough to clean laundry and
floor surfaces we suggest that you wear rubber gloves while grating
your soap.
Laundry Soap Formula Make Soap
1. Follow the directions for making soap.
Leave soap in mould for 24 hours. Cut into bars. There is no need to
cure this soap.
To Use:
"Grate Method"
Grate 1 cup finished soap per full load of laundry. For heavily soiled
laundry use up to 1½ cups of grated soap per load.
Fill washer to 1/4 capacity with hot water and add grated soap (this
will melt the soap flakes). Allow washer to agitate a few times. Fill
the washer with desired water temperature.
"No Grate Method"
Place finished block of soap (100 grams to 1 liter of water) in a
container of boiling water. Allow to dissolve overnight. Your soap
will dissolve better if cut in smaller pieces. Use 1 to 2 cups of
dissolved soap per load.
