HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN NATURAL
BATH SALT AND TUB TEA
>Bath Salts
>Tub Tea
The main ingredient in Bath Salts is
Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulphate). This natural mineral soothes and
relaxes sore muscles.
Sea
Salt (fine
or
coarse) eliminates moisture build up in bath salts and contains
some therapeutic minerals.
Dead Sea Salt contains the highest therapeutic mineral content of
any of the salts.

Instructions |

Scent & Colour
Essential oils are used for scent and therapeutic properties.
Add 15-20 drops per batch.
1/8 tsp
Orris root powder as a fixative to retain scent.
1/2 tsp
Natural clays and
ground
flower petals are recommended for colour and texture.
1/8 tsp Spices such as Paprika, *Turmeric or *Ratanjot
to create pastel shades.
(*use sparingly as they can stain)

Mix all salts and other ingredients
in a stainless steel or glass bowl. Scoop mixture into an air
tight container (Glass
or Tin)
to store. If using Tins, line with plastic to keep mixture dry.
Use approximately ¼ to ½ cup of bath salt blend per bath. |
Try one of
Cranberry Lane’s Essential oil blends.

Sensuous: Romance, Passion Spice , Desert Bloom

Tub Tea
Create your own Tub Tea blend from this list of
botanicals or use the formulas below.
Arnica: Helps heal bruises, sprains and stimulates immune system. Do
not use on broken skin.
Comfrey root: Contains Allantoin which helps stimulate skin to
regenerate new skin cells to speed healing.
Cleavers: One of the best detoxifying herbs. Assists the lymph nodes
to clear body of toxins, great for psoriasis.
Green Tea: A potent antioxidant (destroys free radicals that damage
skin cells and cause skin disorders).
Lavender: Relaxes body and mind. Helps regulate the sebaceous gland
responsible for the skins moisture balance.
Marigold petals (Calendula): Slight analgesic (pain relieving)
Moisturizing
Oatmeal: Contains "Saponins" that can help relieve irritated skin
conditions such as rashes.
Patchouli leaves: Moisturizing and relaxing. Helps tighten pores. Good
for eczema and psoriasis.
Peppermint: Stimulates the sebaceous gland to produce more oil, great
for dry skin conditions
Rosehips: High in vitamin C. Has antioxidant and astringent
properties.
Rose petals: Moisturizing for skin and relaxing for mind.
Spearmint: Stimulates the sebaceous gland to produce more oil making
it great for dry skin conditions
Willow bark: Contains salicylic acid , analgesic (pain relieving)
benefits. Helps to lowers fever.
Yucca root: Contains saponins that gently cleanse the skin.
Anti-inflammatory
Cranberry Lane’s Tub Tea Blend
(Relaxing, soothing treat for the mind and body |
Instructions: makes 8 tub teas |
2 Tbsp
Lavender flowers
4 Tbsp
Rose petals
4 Tbsp
Marigold petals
6 Tbsp Cleavers herb
1 Tbsp Strawberry Leaves |
Mix all dry ingredients together. Store in an air
tight container until ready to use . Keep in a cool dry place.
Use 2 Tbsp blended Tub Tea per bath. Place Tub Tea in mesh or
fabric bag. Fill tub with water
allow Tub Tea to gently infuse bath water while you relax. |
Chamomile and Oatmeal Tub Tea
(Soothes irritated skin conditions) |
Instructions:
makes 8 tub teas |
6 Tbsp
Chamomile flowers
4 Tbsp Oatmeal flakes (quick oats are best)
4 Tbsp
Marigold petals |
Mix all dry ingredients together. Store in an air
tight container until ready to use . Keep in a cool dry place. Use
2 Tbsp blended Tub Tea per bath.
Place Tub Tea in mesh or fabric bag. Fill tub with water allow Tub
Tea to gently infuse bath water while you relax. |
Healing Waters Tub Tea
(Gently exfoliates and encourages skin healing) |
Instructions:
makes 8 tub teas |
2 Tbsp
Patchouli leaves
4 Tbsp
Comfrey root
3 Tbsp
Willow bark
2 Tbsp
Yucca root
4 Tbsp
Lavender flowers |
Mix all dry ingredients together. Store in an air
tight container until ready to use. Keep in a cool dry place.
Use 2 Tbsp blended Tub Tea per bath. Place Tub Tea in mesh or
fabric bag. Fill tub with water allow Tub Tea to gently infuse
bath water while you relax. |
